The early American artisan formed the industrial base of our great nation. Nearly every pioneer brought a particular skill to the new world.
At Old Bedford Village, these skills are demonstrated in an authentic fashion. Some of the crafts demonstrated include coopering, quilting, candle making, blacksmithing, weaving and spinning, and basket making. In all, over 14 period skills are represented at the Village, and many of the products made on site can be found the Village Craft Shop.
And don’t miss the opportunity to learn one of the many crafts available through Old Bedford Village’s educational programs.
